Alyssa Quixley Hi...Personal Statement
My collegiate goals and aspirations are two-fold. I want to be a role-model as a student-athlete. I have set high standards for myself as I expect to graduate as a 4-year letterman with one or more national championships, and I expect to graduate summa cum laude from my college or university with a degree in communications. As evidenced by my First-Team All-Conference/County Girls’ Basketball honors and as evidenced by my 4.5 weighted GPA in the Cambridge Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE) Diploma Program, this dream will become a reality.
Most recently, I was named to the All-Conference/County Girl's Basketball squad for the third straight season, and I was also named to the Third-Team All First-Coast Girl's Basketball squad. Earlier this year, I was named to the All-Tournament Team for the 2014 Florida Prospects Thanksgiving Invitational at Dr. Phillips High School. I am a track & field athlete as well, and my events include 400m (59.3), 800m (2:22.4), 4x400, 4x800m, shot put (37 feet), and high jump (5’2).
For all of the reasons stated above, my commitment to athletics, character and academics is second to none in my humble opinion.
