Angelina Kouchis '23 Recruiting Profile

As I reflect back at my 2019/2020 High School basketball season, I am most proud of our team making it into the Sweet 16!  Another highlight had to be me achieving my personal goal of making it onto the Varsity Team my freshman year and starting.  I worked incredibly hard to accomplish my goal, it didn’t come easy and being the youngest on the team I was tested.  I feel that I have grown both mentally and physically this year.  I am not afraid of hard work and continue to push myself in all aspects of my game and I have focused my own efforts on becoming a solid point/shooting guard, capable of playing at the college level. I am determined to continue to grow as a person and player.

I have been fortunate enough to be part of some amazing programs in Alabama and I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically.   I am proud to say that I achieved a 3.7+ GPA and honor roll for the year as a student-athlete.  I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.  As a one-sport athlete and two-time captain, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!

2018/2019 Season 

As I look back at my Middle School season, I am most proud of our team improving year after year & finishing third in the City. I was selected as Captain for both years and truly developed my leadership skills on and off the court, as a student athlete.  I was very excited, but humbled to be named All-City & All-Tourney for both years.  Additionally, I was pulled up into the High School Area Tournament, as an 8th grader and played with Varsity. I feel I have grown most over my AAU season, by experiencing getting to play up with sophomore and junior girls, which exposed me to a higher level of competition, as I prepared for my first Varsity Basketball Season in High School.
