Heidi Miller '15 Recruiting Profile

~~I LOVE BASKETBALL. Nothing gives me a thrill like running up and down the court during a game. I have been on a varsity team since 7th grade and I have played on a travel team since 8th grade (I played for a 10th grade team till I was in 10th grade, then I played for an 11th grade team).

I can shoot far outside shots, drive to the hoop, rebound, and play good anticipation defense. I am told to shoot a lot more than I do and I look to find the better opportunity for someone else to score before I shoot it myself. I am the most determined player on my teams. What I lack in skill I WILL make up for in EFFORT and HARD WORK. I am generally the first one back on defense not because I am the fastest, but because I want to stop the ball more than anyone on the team because I want to win.

I am a coachable player, I listen to what my coaches correct me on and then I fix it. My AAU coach, Sanders, says that I do the little things no one notices and I give up the ball when others normally would not. I am an unselfish player, but I also realize when my team needs me to take charge because I have the best shot at scoring.

I could go on and on about HOW MUCH THIS GAME MEANS TO ME without any proof besides my words... but the bottom line is that you and I both know that I could go to any big school in Florida that I wanted to basically for free because of my academics. I have worked extremely hard in school, but I want to go to a school where I can play basketball because I love it so much.

I am not the recruit who is forced to be there, but doesn't want to play. I am not just doing it for the money. I love the game. You will have to watch me play. People tell me they can see my love and passion in the way I practice, play, and talk about the game. Come watch me, I promise you won't regret it!!!!
