My career in basketball began in the 7th grade while my interest began in elementary school. I used to play basketball with my friends during recess time, and I remember thinking that sports in general made me happy. Basketball is my outlet and my passion. During middle school, I was emotionally everywhere considering it is a big growing period for teenagers. When I would play basketball, all of my struggles and stress went away. It was just me, a ball, and a court filled with opportunities.
Attending Tarpon Springs HS I met my current AAU coach, Coach Pop. He is one of my biggest motivators. He constantly pushes me no matter what and does not show favoritism. He basically tells it how it is. He tells us the things we don't want to hear, to make us find something internally to strive to be the best. When you feel like you're the best, he makes sure you know there's always room for improvement. Being with the Gatekeepers, I've learned almost everything I know today.
My strongest positions are small forward, shooting guard, and power forward. I have participated in AAU basketball tournaments and have made the varsity basketball team since my freshman year in school. I am truly dedicated to this sport and sincerely want to compete at the college level. I am driven in academics and athletics as indicated by my GPA of 3.62, academic schedule, and length of time participating in this sport. I have continued to better myself each year in every aspect of my life. I know it takes a lot to be committed to a sport, especially basketball because of it’s intensity level and work ethics that it involves, but I have withstood hard work and set backs and I know I want to continue my career In basketball to a college level.
