I am Shelvia Williams, a senior at Wheeler High School in Marietta, GA. I began playing basketball at the age of 10. While I have competed in other sports over the years, basketball remains my first love followed by track and field. I am a very competitive and passionate player.
My strongest strength is that I contribute to the whole game. While you may not see my name as the top scorer on the team, I am that player who plays the hardest defense to stop the opposing team's top scorer while handling the ball and taking shots when needed on the offensive end of the court. I am a powerful defensive player - boxing out and grabbing rebounds to regain possession. My ability to be quick on my feet allows me to pressure the ball and possibly force turnovers. Offensively, I am an asset both in the paint and long range. My ability to see the floor allows me to pass appropriately to my teammates to score.
It is my desire to continue playing basketball on the collegiate level for a coach who sees my present skills and talents and know how to use them while helping me increase and improve my skills to an even higher level. I would like the opportunity to continue my education and increase my knowledge in the area of music (production and performing).
I invite you to check out my highlight videos - see my skills, see me in action, and see if I am a fit into your game plan.
