I am a senior at Stephens County High School in Toccoa, Georgia where I play shooting guard for our varsity team. While I’m not your average sized shooting guard at only 5’3”, I definitely make up for the lack of height with my basketball IQ. I pride myself in being a coachable player and being a constant student of the game. I have been named Blitz Sports Player of the Week and I was also named to the 8AAAA All-Region team as an Honorable Mention and I was also named Blitz Sports Player of the Year Honorable Mention.
Last summer I was selected to play internationally with 365 Sports for their USA team in the Bahamas Tropical Shootout. My team placed 2nd in the tournament after coming up short in the girls championship game. I led my team overall in assists and was second overall in scoring. I was also one of the two USA players that were named to the All-Tournament team
I am looking to find the right college for me both athletically and academically. I plan on perusing my BSN in nursing and possibly even going further and becoming a nurse practitioner. I understand the level of commitment that will come from balancing a college education and playing collegiate basketball. I believe that I am mature enough to handle both.
I am always judged by my size and quiet demeanor. But as the old saying goes “don’t judge a book by it’s cover”. I would love to have the opportunity to showcase my talents to the right school.
