My collegiate goal is attend a college on the mainland and play college level basketball and study in Biology or Pharmacy. Playing college basketball would be an extraordinary opportunity for me to see mainland and experience the difference from Hawaii. I live on the Big Island for my whole life and been to the mainland once, when I was there I gained a whole new outlook on what there is to experience out there and ever since then it has been a goal to go again.
I played basketball for so long and it has taught me many things over the years, such as life lessons and responsibility. Basketball has introduced me to many different coaches and players, but from that I learned how to adjust and learn the qualities of teamwork really quick. Throughout high school season I learned how to handle everyone elses expectations of me and I stopped stressing over it and from that I learn how important communication is between the coaches and teammates.
