2019 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My name is Kaitlyn Kjome. I just completed my Junior at York Community High School in Elmhurst, Illinois. My greatest love is playing basketball. I have played many different sports in my lifetime, but I have mostly enjoyed the game of basketball. I started playing the game when I was 3 years old and I hope to continue playing at the collegiate level.
What sets me apart from other players is my high basketball IQ. I read the court well and I have been told by coaches that my comprehension of the game is a great support for our teams. In addition, I am a strong defensive player as I lead the team in offensive and defensive rebounds. I continue to work hard to better myself as a player. This year, I was named to the All-Conference Team. I was also the Suburban Life Female Athlete of the Week for my performance in the Regional Finals. Finally, I am a very strong academic student with a 4.3 GPA. I am a Freshmen Ambassador and a member of the Relay for Life Team. I feel that I would be a valuable asset to your team.
