Allison Forney '20 Recruiting Profile

     I am a 5’11” shooting guard/wing for Benet Academy in Lisle, IL and graduate in 2020.  I am a versatile player and work hard to make an impact on both ends of the floor.  Offensively, I score from three, mid-range and driving and finishing at the rim.  I have good length and use this to my advantage on the defensive end, especially when trapping and blocking shots.  I am a great teammate, play with a lot of heart and intensity.  I play club basketball for the Illinois Lady Lightning Blue Star organization on the 17U Platinum team.  I play high school basketball for Benet Academy and we are a talented team with 2 D1 commits and 7 others with D1/D2 interest.  My junior year, we won conference and finished 4th in Illinois State at the 4A level.  Our team goal this season is to win conference again and also to win a state championship.

     My goal is to play college basketball and I am looking for a school that's a good fit for me with a balance of academics and basketball.  I have been on the second honor roll every semester at Benet Academy, which boasts a highly competitive college-prep curriculum.  My education is important to me and I am interested in engineering or another science-related field.  My basketball team is like my family and I am looking for this same thing in my college team and I want to find the right fit at the highest level of competition possible.  I love the game of basketball and take great pride in my work ethic and am highly committed to the development and growth of my game.  I work hard year round with speed, agility and strength training as well as individual and group basketball skills training.  Hard work, dedication, teamwork and leading by example are all things I take seriously and use to make me the best teammate I can be.
