Ava Sowder '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ava Sowder. I represent my school (Eastern High School) in Cross Country, Basketball, and Track & Field.  I'm a 5'9" guard, good versatile position player, good range shooter, aggressive driver, have excellent court vision, and have a great passion and enthusiasm for the sport. I want to grow stronger in faith, meet new people, and grow in basketball, leadership, and friendship. My ultimate goal on the court is to learn the game better and make better on-court decisions. Also, I want to become a reliable player/leader. Off the court, my goals are to grow closer to God, go to college, have my own family, and stay close with everybody I meet. I take my academics seriously and get A-B grades at the Honors level.  After high school, I want to go to college and would love to study sports medicine, physical therapy, or athletic training. In my free time, I enjoy reading, riding bikes, drawing, baking, camping, skateboarding, and being around the people I love!
