Brooklyn Bell '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Brooklyn Bell. I am attending Greenwood High School and will be graduating in 2024. I was excited to be the only freshman and a starter on my varsity team this past season! 

I have played basketball from a young age and became passionate about it in my 6th-grade year. In 5th grade, I started my AAU career and fell in love even more. I was the captain of my 6th, 7th and 8th-grade school teams as well as my AAU teams in the past. I am not afraid of hard work and push myself to reach my highest potential. 

I have been a versatile player from the start of my career. I have played every position on the court. I have been praised for my footwork under the basket. My skills on the perimeter have also been recognized. I pride myself on my defense. I am known as a very good shot blocker. I was also the starting point guard this past season for my varsity team. As a freshman that responsibility made me grow and mature as a player. 

My sophomore season, my role has changed some. I still play point at times but the wing is where I feel I’m most effective. 

Being a multiple-sport athlete has also helped me learn the value of hard work and dedication. Juggling both volleyball and basketball as well as having multiple honors classes keeps me busy and focused. 

I'm a leader not only on the court but in my academic performance as well. My goal is to graduate from college with a degree in psychology or a related field. I feel because of my work ethic and dedication to be the best teammate and student; I would be a great asset to any college program.
