Personal Statement
I am from Denmark, a small country in Scandinavia, and currently live in McCook Nebraska, where I this season play my sophomore year for the women's basketball team at McCook Community College. I graduated the year of 2021, and committed for my freshman year at Muskegon College in Michigan, where I then transferred. I have played basketball since I was 6. I have always been playing for one of the most successful youth teams in Denmark and before coming to MCC played in the best women’s league in Denmark as one of the youngest. Some big accomplishments for my home country have been joining the u18 and u19 national teams. I also got to play for my country at the 3X3 fiba tournament in Romania the summer of 2023!
My freshmen year I led my team to multiple titles and a seat at the National Championships where we had a big UPSET. Ended the season as: Conference Champions, State Champions, and Regional Champions.
As a player I am a born leader, and my team has always trusted me with the ball, and my biggest force on the court is definitely my defense, leadership and shoots/drives. I love putting full-court pressure and giving the opponents a hard time. Communication is a big key for me and my game, and it is something I take great pride in.
This year we are doing well, we have had a lot of injuries putting us back as a team unfortunately. I lead my team with leadership, being a key defensive and offensive player, and have a great amount of responsibility and role for the team, and it is something I enjoy doing everyday.
I hope your interest in me is as strong as my interest in your school and your program for the coming year.
I am a player who is a team-first kind of player and my goal are for the team to win over the individual results. With that said I work hard on my individual skills, and love spending all my free time in the gym. Here in Michigan, I am already known as “the Gym-rat”
I have a high basketball IQ; I am very coachable, and I am a leader on the court due to the fact that I am very verbal and understand the game from every position on the court. On the offensive end, I have a strong drive. Further, I can shoot the ball strongly as well as well I can shoot it deep. I am a verbal player, and I find communication as the key to almost everything on the court. I am known for being a hustler, and that is what I would like to see myself as; a person who will do whatever it takes to get the ball and get the points. I am very competitive in every way in my life, whether it is basketball, school or just a boardgame, that is how I am as a person, that is what is in my DNA, I will do anything it takes to win.
High School: Marselisborg Gymnasium, Aarhus, Denmark.
Freshmen year: Muskegon Community College
Sophomore year: McCook Community College
Basketball is obviously a drive of mine and very important to me, however, school is important to me as well. I always made school my first priority, and my entire life I have been used to the combination of both basketball and school. I love learning both on and off the court. Basketball have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, so my love for the game goes deep.
The love for the game is something that I would like to give back to younger generations; therefore, I have also voluntarily coach children at the club where I lived in Aabyhoej, Denmark. Doing so, gives me a different perspective of the game, which is helpful personally on the court as well.
