Personal Statement
Growing up in Hinesville, Georgia I learned to work hard for the things I wanted to succeed in, and with that came a lot of hard and good times. I always found the motivation to push myself and to push others around me. I love having fun, and making people laugh and smile is not hard for me to do but I can admit, basketball can bring sadness, anger, frustration, and devotion to me. I think the best part about basketball is being creative, finding yourself, and knowing parts of who you are with and without basketball. I like to say "I'm very down to earth" which to some people can mean I'm humbled but to me, it means I know I have weaknesses but I'm strong enough to work on them when things get hard and to push through. I grew up with a supportive family, supportive friends, and god by my side. It's hard to understand who I can be, It's hard to know who you are and how others persuade you but through basketball I learn more and more every day. The best thing about basketball is being able to get the opportunity to play it, to better myself, and to meet people through it. It's not easy for everybody and most of the time I'm able to be a supportive teammate, sister, daughter, and friend, I'm able to take the feelings of others into consideration, everybody wants a teammate that can do that.
