Personal Statement
Determination. Dedication. Desire.
Those three words best describe me as an athlete and a student. Determination allowed me to go from being a right-handed swimmer to a left-handed basketball player in less than a year, even with my right arm in a cast for a lot of that time. Dedication carried me through a move to Beijing where I attended a Chinese school for five years, while having to learn a completely foreign language as I went. Desire is what took me from my first dribble, to varsity at a big school, to an elite travel team, and to IMG Academy within less than a year. Determination, dedication, and desire are what will allow me to keep up this pace of growth in my game and ensure that in three years my Senior Night will not be my last game.
