Katya von Eicken ...Personal Statement
I am a hard working but also fun-loving student. Most of all, I am a team player who always puts the team above personal aspirations when it comes to life and playing basketball. Not sure yet what I want to study, but just like in sports, I want to work with people. Since my dad is a military civilian, stationed in Germany since 2004, I grew up and lived in Germany all my life, I am bilingual and have dual citizenship.
I have been playing basketball since age 6, both, on the American side (CYS and now High School), and on the German side (3 years WNBL, and various youth and adult teams, as well as state youth teams).
I love life, sports, family, and friends and really hope to find a great college to play basketball for.
