Personal Statement
I've always strived to be the best version of myself, whether it be in my academic pursuits, athletic endeavors, relationships with family and friends, or both. I love to bring passion and enthusiasm to my games. And I believe this shows both on and off the court.I've had a passion and need for basketball since I was eleven years old, and even though I graduated from high school in 2022 at the age of 17, I still work extremely hard and hope to pursue a career in the sport. Moving to the United States as an international athlete from New Zealand is a huge decision, but I think if you want it bad enough, you can achieve anything. Having said that, for me to leave my family in New Zealand would be hard, given how close we are, but I know that once I have found my team, that will be my new family, and we will grow and work together. Someone who I would relate to as an international player is Nika Muhl, as she made that big decision moving from Croatia to the US to then find her groove and now go onto making the WNBA.
In terms of my academic career, I've always wanted to work with animals in the biology field, so each year I made sure to push myself to the limit and eventually reach my goal. I believe I am a fantastic all-around player who can make people laugh and get along with them; therefore, I would want to see that happen with a squad.
