Personal Statement
I fell in love with basketball just after COVID hit, and have never looked back since. I was formerly a power forward because of my height and ability to work around the ring, but I've now moved towards a small forward/shooting guard because of my speed and capacity to run the court. I love to create movement with the ball, passing it to my teammates so that we can work together to get the best shot possible. On and off the court, I am loud and supportive of my team, helping create an atmosphere that is alive and energised. In 2023 my Western Australian Basket Ball League (WABL) Under 14’s team qualified to compete at the Club Nationals competition in Melbourne. At the end of the season I was awarded the coaches award, my coach said of me “Nadija is a porotype example of how you want your players to work to improve their game. She grasped opportunity of Champs selection and continually worked on all aspects of her game to become a vital team member”. My consistently high academic achievement has seen me receive Academic Honors every semester of high school so far. This semester I am on track to achieve Academic Honors again. I am keen to utilize my academic skills to peruse a career in medicine, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Neurologist.
