Personal Statement
My name is Tori Chandler and I am 5'6" and 135lbs. I am from Australia and I went to the US on an exchange program in 2016/2017 and played basketball for my local high school: Hauser Junior-Senior High School. I realised my love for the game and how I want to pursue playing throughout my college years. My goal is to play basketball at a college level but also have the highest education I can get. During college, I want to study international relations and/or law, criminal justice or criminology. I want to play serious basketball and push to improve my skill set as well as bringing multiple positive attributes to my team. The strengths of my game include strong defense, 3-5 steals a game, I'm good at both converting on offense through assists or by finding the bucket myself and I love being the leader on the court. I aspire to be a player that everyone wants on their team, on and off the court. I believe I can bring many attributes to my team including having the determination to push myself and my team mates to victory every game, I love stepping up and being a role model to others, I am a great listener that carries out instructions given, on and off the court and I believe I will bring a very positive attitude every time I step onto the court. My personality is very outgoing, energetic, competitive and determined, which I believe will allow me to fit nicely into any team and have a positive impact. Typically, if I am lacking in a skill or an aspect of my athletic ability, my goal is to train myself to improve that skill so I can use it to my advantage. I also believe that my determination to be a better player on the court, applies to my academics as I always want to be the best in the classroom.
