Personal Statement
Ever since I started playing basketball as a 12-year old I have loved the game. Basketball has given me so many great friendships and fantastic experiences I'll never forget. Attending college and getting the opportunity to play college basketball wouldn't just be an unforgettable experience - it would be my greatest dream come true! I would be forever thankful if I could get the opportunity to fulfill this dream.
I am a strong defensive player with quick feet, energy and aggressiveness. I hustle to get every loose ball and rebound, which also makes me a good rebounder in spite of my height. I am a team leader and a team player. I try to lead by example but also by encouraging my teammates. I am a very coachable player and strive to be the hardest working player on the team. I never stop fighting and I have just made my way back from an ACL injury I got in November 2013. This has been tough but it has also reinforced my belief that hard work pays off.
I have been a club coach for nearly 5 years and I try to be a good role model and share my love of the game with the kids.
I understand the value of an education and I work hard in the classroom to maintain a high GPA.
I could not think of any better way to continue my development as a student and a basketball player, than attending college and being able to combine a high level of education with a high level of basketball.
