Personal Statement
Sarah Køpke Bersang, 5’6 PG, 2017 recruit.
I am currently finishing my second and last year at Eastern Wyoming College. My goal is to continue being a college student athlete for 2 more years at a University, that will allow me to achieve my full potential on the court as well as off the court.

In my freshman season 2015/16, I averaged 11.4 PTS, 23.7 Min. 4.3 Reb, 4 Ast, 3.7 Stl.
Furthermore, I was the team captain both years and received several awards. My main strength is definitely my speed and explosiveness, which I use offensively as well as defensively. I am aggressive and like to attack the basket, either to score, pass it, or make a jump shot. I also take the 3 when it is open.
- Named to All Region Defensive Team of Region IX. (2017)
- Named to the Region IX All - Tournament Team.
- Named to the All Region IX South Women’s basketball team, voted by the coaches in Region IX. (2016)
- The honor of the NJCAA Academic All Region IX for the 2015/2016 academic year.
- Honored as Academic All American Student Athlete Exemplary Award 3,71 GPA.
- My team was honored in meeting the requirements for the NJCAA Academic Team of the year.
Back in Denmark I played at the highest level possible and I have been playing for the national youth team and played 4 Nordic Championships, 3 European Championships, and a tournament in China.
Playing with older, talented and experienced girls have definitely shaped me as a player. It taught me that there is only one way to gain my teammates and coach’s respect, and that is through hustling, listening, and competing in every practice.
