I am an 11th grader, European guard, 5''9' tall.
I am an emotional player, but I am tough. I have good eye sight of the field and I love being creative in the game, absolutely love giving my opponents a suprise every time! I am playing basketball just for the love of this game. I would like to play in Division I. I have a strong frame and good body control, with good finger roll.
Academically, I’m a good student. I attend at the most selective high school in Turkey. The acceptance rate to my school is approx. 1:200,000. I maintain a GPA which is not perhaps the top (only around 3 out of 4) which is still really hard to get in my school.
I believe playing basketball helps me stay focused and disciplined academically as well. The critical thing for me is to stay focused and have good time management. Istanbul is a city where 15 million people live. Unfortunately, I loose a lot of time by continuously travelling in heavy traffic in order to get to school and to practices everyday. Yet, still I am determined to keep up the work with my basketball skills and further develop them by playing in NCAA during my university years ahead and at the same time, academically I would like to be part of a reputable college community to pursue a degree in engineering.
So, I am currently seeking the program, the coach and the team which best fits to my expectations and my skills.
Sincerely,
Ece Karahan
