Personal Statement
As a student-athlete I want to be able to use the platform to show people younger than me that they can actually excel in both sports and academics because most people think that they can only do one and if they do both, they cannot choose a harder course or they will be an average player.
I am a very determined person and I am eager to learn more from coaches and other people and I'm a quick learner because I had only started playing basketball in grade 8 but I have achieved so much like I represented South Africa in Senegal, I have represented both my province and city. I am also able to maintain a consistent academic result regardless of how hectic my sports schedule is. I work hand in hand with my coach and if she is running late or absent, I am able to coach my team mates.
