Personal Statement
My name is Joceline Geara, and I currently live in Lebanon. I was born and raised in Massachusetts before moving here in 2017. I've played a number of sports as a kid, but basketball was the one I loved the most.
I have top grades in my class at SABIS International School as well as many extracurricular activities and accomplishments that involve teamwork, public speaking and leadership, which all translate to my game on the court. I've been fortunate enough to represent my country in the 2022 U16 FIBA Asia Cup in Amman, Jordan, where we secured 4th place. My most notable accomplishment in basketball is probably leading my high school to win the entire Sabis Global Tournament in Sharjah, UAE, where I also won the tournament's MVP award.
I also have the opportunity play with Beirut First Club's Senior team, where we have won the Women's Lebanese Basketball League 2 times and the Arab championship 1 time.
I'm looking forward to any opportunity to play in the NCAA, preferably in Boston near my family.
