Personal Statement

I first started playing basketball when I was 7 years old and made the elementary team for my school. In 8th grade I lead my school to a championship and got MVP for the season. In my freshman year my team and I lost in the championship final to our rival team. This has pushed me so that next season we can win the championship. In the summer of my sophomore year I made the Kenya National U16 Basketball team. Ive learned that I love to work as a team and persevere even if the game is going badly. This has helped me far beyond basketball such as team assignments in school. My goal is to become a college athlete and study kinesiology and or sports management/marketing.
