Personal Statement
My collegiate goals and aspirations consists of going to college to major in the field of Journalism. Also to play women's basketball at college level so I can better my career to get to the WNBA one day. Journalism is my fall back plan if I possibly don't make it into the WNBA but preferably Sports Journalism but I know with my hard work, dedication and with your help I will get there one day. What makes me a good candidate is that I have incredible speed, I am a fast learner for plays and so on, I am over the average height of a female which is 6'2, I am a sharp shooter, I played on the girls varsity basketball team for my school for 3 years,they had me playing as a Center/Forward, I can grab rebounds easily and make good plays and passes, and I get along with people very easily and I'm a team worker and a very competitive person. What makes me different is my height but also my passion for the game. I have been playing basketball since I was 8 years old and I work hard every day, day in and day out. I come from a sports family. My mom is my female basketball idol. She made me want to get into the sport by seeing her play. I just want to make her proud and go to the WNBA. Athletics wise I can play almost every sport including track and field, volleyball, soccer,football, swimming, and a bit more. Academics wise I can learn very quickly and work fast as well as with my athletics.
