Personal Statement
My name is Emelie Erlandsson and I am an 18 year old girl from Stockholm, Sweden. One of my biggest goals in life is to play college basketball. I am currently a senior in high school and I graduate in June. I am looking to go to college after this summer, the season 2020/2021. Right now I play basketball in Alvik basket in both the highest and second highest league in Sweden. I am a 6’1 power forward who like to score through attacks, post moves and shoot for threes. I have participated in every possible youth national team through the years and played the European Championships three times. My academics have always been really important to me and I love to combine studies and sports. I believe college would be a great way for me to pursue my interest in science and my passion for basketball. I would like to study in the States to develop my skills, basketball overall and grow as a person.
