Personal Statement
My name is Natalie Christofidou and I'm a 2027 graduate from The Senior School in Nicosia, Cyprus. I'm a dedicated athlete with a passion for basketball, I’m enthusiastic about the possibility of joining a college program with a scholarship and being able to maintain and improve my academic and athletic performance.
Over the past few years, I have ensured great behavior both on and off the court. As a Small Forward or Power Forward. I play for a club team (Keravnos Basketball Club) and for my high school team. My hard work and persistence has allowed me to steadily improve my overall performance, either through practices, extra training sessions, weight room training or studying game footage to expand my techniques and refine my strategy.
In addition to my love for basketball, I have also kept a high average of 7.1 out of 9.0 while challenging myself with my Further Math IGCSE Course. I personally think that my ability to maintain my academics and my athletic responsibilities shows my time management skills and work ethic. I take as many opportunities as presented to be a leader both on my team, and in my community.
I’m particularly drawn to studying in the US because of its high-level sports
and coaching and great academic level. I'm sure that the competitive environment and strong support network would provide the ideal atmosphere for me to continue growing as a student athlete. I'm eager to bring my skills, determination, and positive attitude to your team and contribute to its success.
