Personal Statement
I was interested in sports since I was very little and was involved in dance, gymnastic and track and field. By the middle school I have got serious about basketball and it became my passion. I loved the game and I have given it all my soul and many-many hours of practice time. In one year I was invited to play for my school and the next year for my district. I was noticed. Later I played for my city. It was interesting and enthralling. We went to other cities. I have seen the teams, which were stronger and were faster. I had something to strive for. Thanks to the perseverance and diligence, I learned to overcome difficulties and continued growing as a player. From the age of 16 I was invited to play for the national women’s team of Uzbekistan.
In addition to my strong passion for the sport, I tried to keep up with my classmates in academics and community. I was an editor of the school newspaper. I am an A student and have strong interest in science, particularly in biology and chemistry, where I participated in the Chemistry Olympiad. I am also playing an active role in many sport events in my school.
My goal is to strive to become the best in everything I do. My dream is to play in a leading college basketball team. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I am ready to work hard and I believe I could become an asset and great contributor to the success of my future team.
