Ebony McMillan '22 Recruiting Profile

My love for basketball motivates me to get better everyday, which is part of the reason why I wish to enter the college system -  to enhance my experience in sports, academics and life.

I am a versatile player, with preference of playing on the wings. However, I often substitute for positions varying PG-PF. My strengths on the court include my ability to find lanes and finish on the rim, my aggression on defence and my ability to draw fouls on a shot. My understanding of the strategic side of basketball also is present in my game, such as adapting to my opponents style of play quickly.

Playing basketball has taught me about my off-court traits as well, as I have constantly been determined to get better. After any disappointments, I have continued to work hard outside of training hours. I seek and listen in depth to coaches feedback. I am the captain of my school’s varsity team, and this opportunity has taught me skills of delegation, communication and supporting my teammates. 

I understand the importance of academics, and want to make sure this experience is also beneficial for my education. Although I am unsure about a specific job in the future, I wish to study a broad subject that could be applied into many fields (eg. Business/Marketing)
