Jocelyn Rudd '28 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jocelyn Rudd and I attend East Carter High School, class of 2028. My love and work ethic for basketball really grew when I started middle school. My confidence grew when I started AAU ball and that’s when I realized I can do anything I put my mind to. I want to always play to my full potential, and I am committed to always train hard and never give up. Through playing basketball, I’ve learned how to take criticism and work harder and harder towards my goal. I truly love having a team I can cheer for and depend on. If you know me, I will always go 100%. I am known for my defense, effort, and hustle. I am a coachable player and have a high basketball IQ. I am a leader on and off the court. I am committed to train and improve as much as I can. I always put my team first and look for the best in others and myself.

My goal is to play at the collegiate level and be the best that I can be. During college, I want to study the medical field to become a Physical Therapist or work in the area of Sports Medicine. I’ve maintained a 4.0 GPA my entire academic career. Academic success is highly valued in my family. I am planning to keep maintaining my high academic standards as I go forward.
