For me, it has always been about perseverance. I would not be here if it was not for my perseverance. Attending DuPont Manual High School, the number one school in the state of Kentucky, along with taking Advanced Placement, Advanced Program, and Honors classes (all variations throughout my four years), I continued to want to better myself both academically and athletically.
I always keep a high spirit, even when things are tough. I love cheering my teammates on, whether it is during drills, scrimmages or in games. Known for my raw talent and coachable attitude, my encouraging nature and sportsmanship is noticed not only by my coaches but coaches of opposing teams and referees.
Training with ex NBA player and University of Louisville standout, DeJuan Wheat, has really made me love the game even more. He helped me believe in myself, and helped me begin to gain my confidence back.
I have many aspirations, even beyond basketball. I hope to major in business administration in college so that I can prepare to own several businesses one day. I hope to build a training facility to help develop young female athletes. I want them to know that they are not alone, and if I can do it, you can too. I also would like to own my own clothing company, and a restaurant.
