Makya Grinter '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Makya Grinter and I am a 5’6 and 145 lb. combo guard.  Although my main position is point guard, I can easily slide into the shooting guard position.  I am playing for Louisville Male High School going into my Senior year, but this my 5th year of playing with Male. I play with Blue Star Kentucky (Kentucky Premier).

My philosophy is “Defense wins games” so I believe in intensity, on the ball defense that leads to turnovers and fast breaks. I have quick speed that allows me to defend on the perimeter, cause a turnover and lead the fast break.

On the court, I am a leader for my team and strive to be one of the hardest workers on the team. Off the court, I study hard and maintain good grades.

I want to attend a school that I can thrive in the classroom and on the court. I want to find a school that fosters diversity, competitiveness in athletics and a great educational environment.
