Even since the 2nd grade, when I started paying basketball, I have always strived and pushed myself to become a better player. In the 4th grade, I was excited to see my hard work paying off when I was recruited to join my first AAU team. After my 1st season in AAU I realized that if I wanted to go anywhere with basketball, I would have to work for it and it would not be given to me.
I have had many great coaches and mentors that have pushed me to be learn new skill sets along with helping me to understand the game. These skills have also made me a great defensive player with a wide understanding other the game. This is one reason inspiring me to become a better player, as well as, a leader and good role model for younger players and my fellow teammates.
As I have continued to play county basketball and AAU, I learned new and valuable skills and lessons that will help me achieve my goal of playing colligate ball while obtaining a degree in the medical field.
