I have been playing basketball since I was 4 years old. It has always been my sport. I have always been the shortest and always weighed less than everyone else but that never stopped me. When I was 7, I could play with the 11/12 year olds in their games and keep up. Every year I go and help with our little dribblers teams whenever I can. Even if it means going straight from my practice to theirs. I have put in a lot of time in the gym. In the summer of 2019 you would always see me going to shoot or run at the school. Some days I would go up in the mornings or nights, or go both times of day. I would stay for hours at a time working on any skill I needed to get better at. I have never been the most skilled when it came to handling, so everyone really doubted me when I got to Highschool. I did everything I could do to prove them wrong. I have spent years working on my shot form and finally have it down packed and have so much confidence in it. Spent many days this past summer working out and getting stronger just to be a better player in general. I'm also a Co- captain for my High School team, so I try to make an example from everything I do. I don't just play the game for myself, I play for my family, my teammates, my coaches, my community, my younger self, and all those little girls that look up to me.
