Rebecca Lyons '22 Recruiting Profile

Basketball isn't just a sport, it is second nature to me and has evolved into becoming a lifestyle. My name is Rebecca Lyons, I have been a dedicated player since the third grade after falling in love with the sport the first time I touched a basketball. I am graduating high school in 2022 as being an all-around, coachable player that concentrated mostly on the position of a small forward, as well as being flexible and adaptable in any position where our team was short. I uphold and honor my values of self-discipline, dedication, resilience, and carrying myself in a humble, high-spirited manner both on and off the court. I have perfected a balance between school and sports and take pride in my academic achievements. On the court, I would describe myself, as being a small forward, as a physical, quick, unafraid player. My motivation and perseverance along with my intensity and toughness are a big part of my game. Also being the backbone for my team, makes me able to encourage my team to uplift them when they are at a low and motivate them to do better. I take pride in being the optimistic person on the team and being the captain that they look up to. I aspire to play basketball at the next level and I know that my skills will be a great fit for any team that I play for, as well as continuing my path to academic accomplishments.
