MacKenzie Ciganick '14 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is MacKenzie Ciganick. I'm a Sophomore at Bellaire High School in Bellaire, Michigan. I'm 5'5, and I weigh 150lbs. I've been playing basketball since I was in 4th grade, and it is a big part of my life. My aunt played at Colorado State and Central Michigan University. I can offer the team many things. I am always positive, and I take pride in my leadership skills. I can always make people laugh, but I know when to be serious. It is my dream to play sports in college, and I am doing everything I can to make myself the best player possible. Our team finished 4th in the Ski Valley Conference, arguably the toughest conference in Northern Michigan. I would be honored to play at any school in the US, at any level. Of course, the higher, the better! I take pride in academics, and would love to attend a school where academics are highly regarded alongside athletics. I am open to all different types of schools as well. I plan on majoring in the Medical field, but I am undecided on the specifics. I desire to better myself as an athlete, as well as a person. High school coaches have told me they love my tenacious defense. I feel comfortable shooting from anywhere on the court and I'm not afraid to drive to the basket. I value teamwork and dedication more than anything and above all else. I am always the first one in the gym, and the last one to leave. Basketball isn't just a sport- it's a lifestyle.
