Katelyn Sherwood '18 Recruiting Profile

I would like to obtain a degree in Sport Management, Athletic Training or Exercise Science from a top academic school while continuing to play basketball at the highest competitive level possible.  I am a fast and strong team player that plays aggressive in-your-face defense.  I play defense not just with the intention of shutting down my opponent, but instead looking to create offensive opportunities for my team through my defense.  I work tirelessly to improve my skills, speed and strength and will continue to work as hard as necessary to achieve my dreams.

I relentlessly pursue excellence in every area of my life; Spiritual, Relationships, Academics and Athletics.  This can be evidenced by my 3.9 GPA and Class Rank of 18th out of 425 students.  I am disciplined and take these things very seriously, willing to delay gratification to achieve my goals.  The ideal team for me would be one that plays aggressive defense and an up-tempo offensive game.
