Sydney Parker '17 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to complete an undergraduate degree while being a part of a collegiate basketball team.  I am very passionate about being successful on the court as well as in the classroom - I drive to be the best that I can be and realize that there are various roles that I must play in the game (whether it is to be a strong defensive player to shut down an opponent or set up offensive plays, it is my job to be a consistent hard worker and effective.  I believe in not only doing what is required but going over and above which requires putting in efforts more than team practice and homework.  What makes me a good candidate for any team is my ability to respect my coaches and be a coachable player.  My character, personality, positive attitude, hard work and being a team player sets me apart from other candidates. Not only do I have the ability to remain positive regardless of circumstances, but to be able to play with a “chip on my shoulder” then leave it all on the court and return to my usual upbeat personality.
