From a very young age I have a goal to attend college and achive a higher education in a Health and Medicine discipline and use college basketball to help me accomplish that goal.
I have been playing Travel/AAU for several years and also worked very hard in my basketball skills on my own and with several trainings during the years to prepare myself fro this challenging and competitive environment. All this effort, energy, and dedication are in alignment with my academics and keeping my GPA in 3.50 or higher.
As a freshman at Kalamazoo Central High School I agreed to with the coaching staff to play in JV instead of Varsity to allow my development the point guard/ guard position move to the next level playing a regular position and a leader/captain active role on and off the court. I have a great relationship with the coaching staff because I am very respectful athlete as well as a student. I have a great attitude towards learning new things and when difficult challenges show up I am very hard working and disciplined to push myself "out of the comfort zone." I am sure this makes me a better player down the road. I am a strong academic student I take advanced English, math, and science classes.
I am a solid candidate for college teams because I am a leader, hard worker, excellent teammate, team player, high basketball IQ, respectful, engaging, and committed both on and off the court. As mentioned before it is very important to me to keep up my academics and I work hard to make sure that I am able to keep my grades up, that will allow me to achieve my goal in the Health and Medicine field.
Please do not forget that I am also part of the Kalamazoo Promise...
