Brenna James '16 Recruiting Profile

I've been told my whole life that I am too small to play basketball in college, and that is exactly why I am so determined to prove them all wrong. I have had to fight since I was very young for a spot because I don't fit the eyeball test and that is how I developed such an outstanding work ethic. My mental toughness is unbreakable and because of this I outwork and outhustle my opponents every time. I have a positive attitude and I am eager to learn something from my coaches each day. I am very coachable; I take the corrections that I am given, and turn them into results. My hard work and discipline carries over to the classroom as well with my high GPA and test scores. Although it is hard sometimes, I always strive to do what is right. I am dedicated to my studies, but I also find time to be involved in several other extracurricular activities. I am a leader in Students United, which is a volunteer organization, and I am a part of the Youth Advisory Council and Business Professionals of America, and every other Sunday I find time to teach Liturgy of the Word class at my church.I have always wanted to play basketball at the collegiate level, and I push myself everyday so I can achieve that goal. I wish to pursue a career in engineering, and attend a school that provides this major. I am on a search to find these two things and I know great things are to come. I have the drive and commitment to succeed at the next level, and it is my personal mission to do so.
