I have been playing basketball since 2nd grade. Along with many other sports over the years. I enjoyed playing softball for seven years where I played 2nd base, outfield and pitched. I have been involved in Track, as well as Tennis. I enjoy athletics and keeping active, and feel blessed to have had the experiences and challenges that I have had over the years. My parents and grandparents have encouraged me and helped me in every way, to improve my basketball skills and support me in my dreams and goals. I have two sisters, one a year older than me, and another who is 11 years old, who also play sports and basketball, so it's been a true family experience. My goal is to play basketball, the sport I love in college as I pursue my academic career and future. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am involved with my community in many different ways, at church, helping with my sisters girl scout troop, volunteering at different organizations, and running youth summer basketball camps with our local girls youth basketball organization. I realize every day that being in sports, and a starter on our Varsity basketball team is a privilege and young players and the community watch and observe me and our team. It is important to me to set good examples in everything I do. As a student, leader, as a friend, teammate, and daughter. My parents have been so supportive to me, and my mom always encourages us that we can accomplish anything and to be strong and kind to everyone.
