Davida Blockett V...Personal Statement
I am a senior basketball player from Cleveland Central High School in Cleveland, Mississippi. I have been playing varsity for my entire high school career. The position that I play is point guard. On and off the court I am an encouraging player towards my teammates and others. I also received additional training at the Nike summer camp with Coach Deena Applebury of the University of Mary Washington.
The purpose of this letter is to introduce myself to you and request your consideration for participation in your college program. I have been told that your collegiate basketball program is outstanding. Also, it would be a huge opportunity to participate in your mathematics program in order to pursue the career of becoming a engineer and math teacher. I currently have a G.P.A of 3.6 with an ACT score of 18. In addition to this I am a member of several prestigious groups such as National Honor Society, Interact Club, Beta Club, Student Council as well as the varsity softball team.
