Playing basketball at the collegiate level has always been an aspiration of mine. I have played in tournaments, on travel teams, competed in camps, and now I'm entering my senior year with more drive than I have ever had. As basketball season grows closer I begin to feel the excitement my future has in store for me. At college I will be pursing a career in the medical field while hopefully making my dreams come true on the basketball court.
During practice I make sure to not only motivate myself, but to keep my teammates motivated as well. I believe that in order to be a great player you must keep a positive mindset. I always encourage my teammates, and I try my best to make them feel as though they are a crucial player to our team. When I am not performing my best I will try my hardest to do something beneficial for my team.
I put as much effort into basketball as I do academically, although academics do come first. I work hard in school to maintain a GPA of about 3.6, and I'm working my hardest to get it up to a 3.8 by the end of my senior year. In the class room I am determined, and focused to do well.
