Rebecca Melcher '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Rebecca Melcher and I am a junior who will graduate with the 2022 class. I've played at the #1 position as a point guard but can also excel at the #2 position as a shooting guard. A few of my strengths include having the ability to see the floor/push the ball, handle the ball in the full court/under pressure, shoot contested shots beyond the arc, and drive to the hoop. During the regular season I shot 39% from the field, 38% from the three, and 81% from the free throw line. I am just as serious and competitive about academics as I am with improving my game. I earned a score of 25 on the ACT and currently have a GPA of 3.94. I ultimately want to find the right college match while playing at the highest level of competition possible.

• Plans for my future: Earn a bachelor's degree in psychology, become a student counselor at a high school and continue my involvement in Montana basketball as a high school coach.
