My name is Allie Dieckmann and I found my love for basketball at the young age of 6. I have played recreational basketball, aau/club basketball, and have played for my middle school basketball team as well as currently playing for my highschool basketball team.
From my very first time ever touching a basketball I knew this is the path I wanted to take when I got older. I always told myself I have a special talent with this sport and now is my time to officially prove it to myself.
Playing basketball at the collegiate level takes so much talent, hard work, dedication, teamwork, and confidence and I believe I am ready to uphold that commitment. My goals with playing at the collegiate level is to grow my skills for the game and be a better version of myself. Weather it is as a player, teammate, and/or person.
I believe I am a great candidate to recruit for a collegiate basketball team because I am a team player and a very coachable athlete. Basketball is a game of change and if you are lucky enough to play basketball all the way up to the college level you have to be susceptible to change. Through an athletes perspective I will always put my team before myself so if that means something I am doing needs to be changed/adjusted, I will be 100% ready for that.
My character is very distinct from other recruits because I can be silly and have fun but I also know when it’s time to work and be serious. Being in a fun, friendly, and supportive environment is key to being successful as a person and a team. So bringing my positive character to the collegiate level will only benefit the team’s positive atmosphere as well.
Academic wise, I am different from other recruits because I have very good time management skills. While being a highschool student athlete I know I need to balance both my school work and basketball in order to be an outstanding person. Going from highschool schoolwork to college school work can be a drastic change which makes it even more important to have very strong time management skills with your academic work so you can preform your best out on the court all the time.
