I've been playing basketball ever since I could remotely dribble a ball. My dream was to hopefully play at a college level or even the WNBA. Playing in college would be a great opportunity.
In basketball, I have good hand eye coordination, I'm not afraid to throw my whole body to the ball and I'm strong when it comes to setting screens and taking charges. I can also get rebounds and pass out to my shooters if possible. I understand that I'm considered short to play the positions I play, but I can dominate. I can hold top scores to single digit points because of my defense. I'm quick on my feet when it comes to anything. I'm very coachable, meaning that I like taking criticism from my coaches or even sometimes my teammates. Whenever a drill is shown I try to execute it on the first try to set an example for others who might not understand it fully. I try to set examples to the underclassmen, to show them that basketball can be easy if you actually put effort and time into this. Over the years, I've realized getting into a college and playing basketball is much harder than it seems. I plan to work even harder to get into a good college.
I'm very focused on my grades because I know how important it is. I take my academics very serious because colleges look at these things to determine if they want to choose me. I have average grades, but when I try and succeed it makes an impact.
The reason I want to go to college in the first place is to make my family proud. College is a big step in life without sports, but with it's an even bigger responsibility. I hope to get into the right college for which I can achieve my dreams for when I was a kid.
