I have been playing basketball since I was 6 years old. I can't remember exactly what it was that attracted me to basketball, but it has been the support I've received from my parents, coaches, and trainers that helped shape my success so far. I have been fortunate to play for competitive teams with really good coaches. My natural position is guard but at times I have played the stretch four despite being out-sized at that position. This has helped me become a more versatile player. It also has helped me understand team concepts and the level of commitment required to be successful. My involvement in the sport over the years has helped me grow personally. I was a starting guard on an elite 7/8th grade team that won three major tournaments on the East Coast. The Atlantic City Showdown sponsored by Select Events, and two major US Junior National tournaments in Pennsylvania and Washington DC where I received an All-Star nomination. I also made All Tournament team in the Rose Classic in New York, was named to the 2nd Team -All Prep Conference as a Freshman and I'm considered one of the top 2024 guards in NJ. I currently play on Team Rio's Elite 16U team. Through these experiences I have learned how to win with humility and lose with dignity. I have also learned to look at every loss as an opportunity for growth.
My goal is to to excel academically in high school and college while playing the game I have grown to love. Although I'm still growing and learning I feel that I can contribute to a high performing program in high school and college given my positive attitude, versatile and developed skill set, length, and speed. I realize that in order to contribute at a high level it will require sacrifice. I'm willing to continue to work hard to accomplish and reach my goals.
