My name is Adriana Santiago and I graduate in 2024. I attend Montgomery High School in Skillman, NJ. I have 3 years of varsity experience along with being a starter this year. Additionally. In my free time, I have volunteered as a coach at a basketball camp in my town, where I coach girls aged 8-14 dribbling and shooting drills. I also work part-time as a scorekeeper for a high school boys' rec league in my town.
I have been playing basketball since I was 6, organized basketball since I was 8, and AAU since I was 15. I hope to one day earn a scholarship to play at the collegiate level.
Academically, I work hard, perform well in my classes, am a peer leader, and participate in school clubs (Black Student Union, Latinx Alliance Club).
While playing, I like to be a pest on both ends of the court. My ability to get to the rim and defensive stops are what make me stand out on the court.
There are many talented basketball players in my graduating class, but what sets me apart is my confidence, energy, work ethic, and always putting my teammates first.
What makes me a good candidate for a team is my coachability, leadership, and ability to play through adversity. I am hard of hearing and wear hearing aids daily, but I play at a high level regardless of my disability.
