Rachel Gordon '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Rachel Gordon. I am a Sophomore Class of 2022. I am 16 years old. I attend Teaneck High School at 100 Elizabeth Ave Teaneck New Jersey 07666. During the 2018-2019 Girls Basketball season, I was truly honored to have been a varsity starter at the shooting guard position on my Teaneck High School Highway Women's Basketball Team, even though I happen to be a reliable scorer, I still like to play with a team-first agenda. Even if I'm on the bench, I cheer, and I do what it takes to keep my team thinking smart, and I thrive on keeping my teammates motivated. In addition to my position and being a starter who loves to uplift my squad, I was selected 1st Team all-conference, 2nd Team All-County, as a sophomore. As a freshman, I was selected 1st Team All-Conference as well, while leading my team in scoring and three-point shooting, along with being named team MVP. My AAU Team is Exodus NYC 16U Nike EYBL.  I still always have to remain laser-focused on my academics. Although I enjoy basketball as a team sport, and I am thankful for my accomplishments in that particular arena, I understand that knowledge is power and education is critical. Currently, I am in all Honors Classes with a 4.4  GPA, and I've been on the Honor Roll every semester this school year.  I feel very fortunate, to have recently been selected for membership in The National Society of High School Scholars on June 12, 2020. I am happy to say I'm now an actual member. I aspire to play women's basketball at the next level while furthering my education in the medical field. Thank you
