2014 HighlightsPersonal Statement
First of all, all my teammates and coaches can attest to the fact that I am a team player. They would also say that I eat, sleep and dream about playing basketball day in and day out. My official position is point, but I make it my goal to know every position and try hard to play them all at a high level. I can shoot a 3, fake a pass, and then drive-in through a crowd for a lay-up or jump shot, and I am confident on the free-throw line, making on average 60%. I can steal the ball from the best and take a charge from a girl double my size. I am quick and use my basketball IQ to make smart decisions during the game. I can pass the ball further than most and can handle the ball very well. I absolutely love this game.
Outside the court, I compete just as hard in life. I make it my goal to love my friends unconditionally and to remain loyal regardless of the situation. I also push myself academically. I am not satisfied with good, I strive for excellent in everything I do.
I am also highly involved in my church youth group. I love God and want to find ways to allow him to use my strengths to build others up. I believe it's important to volunteer in the community.
